We will need to notify any third parties with whom we have shared your personal information (see "Who do we share your personal information with?") That you requested a correction.

How you can view and correct your data

If you ask us to do so in writing, we will generally allow you to view the personal data we process about you or take steps to correct incorrect data.

When you can request deletion

Except as provided in “When can we reject a deletion request?”, You have the right to delete your personal data and prevent further processing of your personal data if:

  • personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were originally collected / processed;
  • withdraw your consent (if you have previously given us your consent and were required to process such data);

  • personal data must be deleted in order to fulfill a legal obligation.

When we can reject a deletion request

The right of erasure does not apply in cases where your data is processed for certain specific purposes, including the assertion or defense of legal claims or performance of a veterinary care contract. We may delete data provided for marketing purposes (if you have agreed to do so).

When it is possible to limit processing

You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data:

  • if you do not agree with the accuracy of the data. We must then limit the processing until we have verified the accuracy of the data;
  • if the processing is unlawful and you have objections to the deletion and instead request a restriction on the processing;
  • if you have objected to a processing that occurs for the purpose of our legitimate interests within the meaning of the “Eligible Interests” section of the “Objection to Processing” section and we are considering whether these interests take precedence.

Do we need to inform other recipients of your personal data about processing restrictions?

If we have provided your relevant personal information to third parties, we must inform them of the restriction so that they do not further process your data. We will take appropriate steps for this purpose. If we decide to remove the processing restriction, we will notify you.

When can the right to data portability be exercised?

The right to data portability applies only to:

  • the personal information you have given us (i.e., no other information);
  • cases where processing is based on your consent or for the performance of the contract; and
  • at the same time, it is processed by automated means.

When can we reject a data transfer request?

We may reject your request for data transfer if the processing does not meet the criteria above. We will also not be able to provide you with personal information in cases where it concerns more than one person and their disclosure would affect their rights.

You can dispute the processing in the following cases:

  • Eligible interests

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests at any time for reasons specific to your particular situation. If we can demonstrate a compelling legitimate reason for the processing of your personal data that outweighs your interests, rights and freedoms, or if we need your personal data to assert or defend legal claims, then we may further process your data. Otherwise, we must stop processing this data.

  • Direct marketing

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
